            79-73, 78-74 and 80-72.

            Leon Bauer
Jan 27, Cologne, GER; Motorworld, Universum Box Promotion, bdb
8x3: Leon Bauer, 78,3, Ger  TKO 2  Timo Rost, 79,9, Ger
Bauer got off first and dominated the fight. Rost went down in the second and had a bad swelling around the right eye, sat down again and after the count the fight was stopped.
            10x3: Ermal Hadribeaj, 69,8, Alb/US  W10-U  Bohdan Shtonda, 69,0, Ukr
Hadribeaj retained the WBC Int'l title on scores of 99-92, 99-91 and 98-92.
            10x3: Serhat Guler, 75,4, Tur TKO 1 (2.49)   Branislav Malinovic, ?, B-H
WBC Int'l and WBC Asian titles at stake. Malinovic was a late sub for Michal Ryba, who in turn was a sub for Deok No Yun. Malinovic went down twice, got up, looked wobbly and it was stopped.
            10x3: Branimir Malenica, 79,0, Ger   TKO 5 (2.57)   Ahmed Dananovic, 78,8, B-H
Malencia won the vacant WBC Int'l Silver and WBC Med titles after a tough punch out that went back and forth. Dananovic landed well in the fourth but got caught in the fifth in some heated exchanges and as Malencia poured it on refere Jürgen Langos made a timely stoppage even if Dananovic and his cornermen protested.
            8x3: Mourad Aliev, 117,1, Fra  TKO 3 (2.30)  Awadh Tamim, 109,4, Tan/Swe
Tamim was on and off the bill for two weeks with two other opponents lined up. Fight week Aliev was proposed, turned down and then after some more "Negotiations" agreed on a few days before. Aliev landed with a low blow, Tamim bent over and motioned to the referee but Aliev then hit him with a right hook that was clearly behind the head. Tamim went down and there was a time out but the Swede declined to continue and Aliev got the tko win. Tamim was outboxed in the first two and seemed to lack desire - and was overmatched.
8x3, l: Dzmitry Asanau, Blr  vs  Zsolt Osadan, Slo
            Fight off but why?
8x3, m: Serkay Comert, Ger  TKO 3  Roberto Arriaza, Nic/Spa
Arriaza was floored in the first, second and third before it was stopped. Arriaza did alright in between kockdowns but appears to have a weak chin.
8x3, sl: Younes Zarras, Ger  TKO 3 (not out)  Sander Diaz, Ven/Spa
Diaz, under some pressure in the second, retired himself and didn't come out for the third.
8x3, h: Jose Larduet, Cub/Ger  TKO 3 (not out)  Yonny Molina, Ven
Molina, an aging overweight southpaw, tired badly in the second and took a beating at the end of the round and was retired by his corner. Larduet looked like he was in good shape and showed some slick moves and heavy punches.
6x3, sf: Oussama Kebdani, Ger  W6-U  Temitope Abiola, Nig/?
Kebdani kept looking and waiting but could never figure out his opponent. Abitoal, taller and bigger, seemed to edge most of the rounds with his counters but he too was also guilty of not working hard enough.
6x3, sm: Steven Nduka, Ger W6-U   Sergej Guliakevich, Blr/Pol
Guliakevich had Tamim's coach Harry Jansson in his corner and gave Nduka a good workout but is no super middleweight.
4x3, lh: Ugur Kadam, Ger  W4-U  Frank Rojas, Ven
            4x3, h: Ahmed Krnjic, B-H  W4-U  Sinan Ozsahin, Tur
The much bigger Krnijc, a southpaw,  was too big for Ozsahin, who got a standing eight count in the third plus a point deduction for holding.
