Speaking at the CALL OF DUTY promotional video shoot Spencer Oliver said,

“I’m looking forward to it, it should be a lot of fun and a great evening of boxing.

I’ve got a great history with Mark Prince, we go way back, when we were both boxing together back in ’97-’98, so we were from the same era of boxing, we both made it to the top.

We’ve always followed each other’s careers and what do you know here we are again.

You know I’ve got a lot of passion for Mark Prince and with what he’s been through with the loss of his son, we’re from the same area and know the whole history of it, so I’m really looking forward to seeing him in championship action again.

I know he can do it, he has a lot to offer, some people think forty five is too old, George Foreman came back at forty five and won the title, then again look at Bernard Hopkins, unified Champion at forty eight and still mixing it with the best, so to me it’s just a number.

If you look at the condition of Mark Prince, I think we are going to see something really special on August 2nd.”

            Ben Doughty then added.

“Yeah I’m looking forward to working with the distinguished Spencer Oliver, nearly said Spencer Fearon then, but the clue was ‘distinguished’.

Here we are at a lovely regal setting on a beautiful day for the interviews, obviously we’ve got Mark Prince heading up the show, as well as George Hillyard, who’s looking very trim and aiming to get back on a winning track.

it’s an interesting situation that’s arisen in the last two years, the boxing sanctioning market on UK soil has opened up, where other organisations such as the Malta Boxing Commission can sanction these fights, what’s more they are gaining some momentum and are able to bring us these kind of fights, as well as top class fighters like Mark Prince and George Hillyard.”

For the Televised section of the event, which starts at 7:00pm (GMT) (2:00pm EST – 11am PST), the running order is:

Fight One - Matar Sambou versus Tadas Stulginskas

Fight Two - Nathan Decastro versus Sergej Drob

Fight Three – Manny Muhammad versus Ernestas Dapkus

Fight Four – George Hillyard versus Tommy Tolan

Fight Five – Mark Prince versus Jiri Svacina

            MBC International Cruiserweight Championship
