Superlightweights Anthony Yigit (11-0-1) and Kim Poulsen (26-1) clash on Sauerland Promotion’s Nordic Fight Night in Frederikshavn February 7.

Yigit is from Sweden but now lives and trains on Tenerife (Spain) and is signed to Sauerland while Poulsen from Denmark fights out of Vienna (Austria) and is now promoted by BoxTeam Vienna.

 

Sauerland first wanted to do Yigit vs Kasper Bruun II but negotiations fell through at an early stage and Bruun is now retired.

 

 

Vaughn Promotions stage a show February 27 at the Hilton Malta on the island of Malta sanctioned by the Maltese Boxing Commission. Heading the bill is Russian superbantam Vladimir Tikhonov (12-0) and John Vincent Moralde (11-0) with the vacant WBFed title at stake.

 

Veteran Peter McDonagh (23-28-1) goes for the vacant WBFed Int´l welterweight title against an opponent to be announced and finally local man Tyrone Borg (8-0) fights tba for the vacant WBFed lightheavyweight title.

 

Vaughn Promotions have Russian TV backing the event up.

 

 

Marcello Matano (13-1) clash with Jussi Koivula (17-1) February 27 in Ferrara (Italy) with the vacant IBF I/C superwelterweight title at stake on this Boxe Loreni promotion. Koivula from Finland suffered his only loss to Lukasz Maciec in 2013 on a cut eye but have since won three straight. Matano previously held the national title but lost to Felice Monelli last year.
