EURO RESULTS

By  Per-Ake Persson

Dec 13, Gent, BEL:
Tony Ingelrest, 89,3, Bel W4-U Matej Bajamic, 87,4, Cro

Dec 12, Bröndby, DEN, Bröndbyhallen, est 5000, Sauerland Promotion
12x3: Patrick Nielsen, 77,3, Den TKO 3 (1.24) Rudy Markussen, 76,8, Den
Nielsen wrestled, held, punched and smothered Markussen for a clear win in a disappointing "Bad Blood" fight. People close to ringside said that when the first punch landed the fight left Markussen, who failed to land his powershots. He enjoyed a huge crowd support but when  it was over most in the venue booed and wanted their money back. Markussen went down in the third from a left and a push and shook his head as he got up and it was stopped. Referee Jan Christensen was nicer to Nielsen, who has developed an ugly punch and hold style, than he was to Markussen
8x3: Micki Nielsen, 90,7, Den KO 3 (2.59) Konstantin Semerdiev, 90,7, Bul
Nielsen worked hard and dirty in the infights with the 43 year old Semerdiev covering up well and landing with some hooks. In the third Semerdiev scored with a right upercut but moments late Nielsen scored with a southpaw right hook and Semerdiev went down on his back out of  this world and it was stopped a few seconds into the count.
8x3. Dennis Ceylan, 57,3, Den KO 2 (2.43)  Walter Estrada, 57,0, US
Estrada looked very shot and reacted badly to every punch. He appeared to have no legs under him, he was hurt by a right and stumbled to the floor and it was ruled a slip. Ceylan caught him with a left hook and Estrada was gone and stopped. He looked totally shot.
Tim Robin Lihaug, 76,4, Nor W8-U Jozsef Racz, 76,4, Hun
78-74, 80-72 and 79-73 but it looked close enough for a draw in a poor fight where Lihaug appeared unable to do anything but plod after his opponent. Racz scored with good counters and I had it 77-76 for him.
4x3: Kai Robin Havnaa, 89,4, Nor KO 1 (2.59) Lukasz Zygmunt, 90,7, Pol
Zygmunt appeared to be doing well surviving when caught by a right, and then another and went down, he was up at "9,5" but was groggy.
Abdul Khattab, 72,5, Den W8-U Francisco Cordero, 72,6, Col
80-72 twice and 80-70. Khattab dominated but could never hurt his opponent and looked rattled in the final seconds of the fight.
4x3: Landry Kore, 72,5, Den KO 1 (1.46) Valentin Stoychev, 72,0, Bul
Bodyshots and the out of shape Bulgarian sat the count out on the lower ropes in pain.
6x2: Dina Thorslund, 57,7, Den W6-U Jasmina Nadj, 54,0, Ser
60-53 twice and 60-52. Nadj had a point deducted for holding in the fifth.
Deion Jumah. 81,8, UK W6-U Vasyl Kondor, 80,0, Ukr
60-54 on all cards. Kondor was stunned twice in the fifth by Jumah´s southpaw left.
