Kazach cruiser Issa Akberbayev (16-0) returns after a brief layoff April 30 in Buchholz (Germany) and defends the GBC title against Venezuelan Williams Ocando (15-3).

Akberbayev is promoted by GGG Promotions headed by Gennadyi Golovkin but the show itself is staged by Venetis Promotion with Mario Pokowietz as matchmaker.

Akberbayev's return was first set for Gladsaxe, Denmark, then moved to Hamburg and now to Buchholz.
