Erislandy Lara successfully defended his WBA junior middleweight title with a fourth round knockout of Yuri Foreman on Friday night. The main event of a Premier Boxing Champions card was telecast on Spike, live from Hialeah Park Racing & Casino in Hialeah, Florida.

WBA super welterweight champion Erislandy Lara cautiously coasted through the first three rounds, seeming to take measure of his opponent  before landing a devastating left hook in the fourth round that dropped challenger Yuri Foreman.

The fighter who grew up in Israel before coming to the USA struggled to get up, finally making it to his feet by the count of nine. But referee Samuel Burgos waved it off at 1:47 of the fourth round as Foreman was surely on wobbly legs and didn’t appear prepared to fight on.
