Oct 30, Katrineholm, SWE, Safiren, BK Öster / Krister Segerberg
"Night of Champions" pro-am show with armwrestling as a special feature.
6x2: Samo Jangirov, 95,0, Katrineholm, Swe  W6-U  Awadh Tamim, 109,4, Tan/Stockholm, Swe
Tamim came in on Thursday fight week when David Loy pulled out due to heart problems. That meant that a fight scheduled for 8x3, was reduced to 6x2 but it became a slugfest that saved the show. Jangirov began the fight from a southpaw stance, moved away and tried to counter Tamim, the bigger man. It worked well and Tamim was floored by a short left hook but recovered well helped by the shorter rounds. Tamim easily got Jangirov to the ropes and tried to score with big 1-2 combinations but most were blocked. The big Tanzanian then began talking to his opponent, who talked back and then the war broke loose with the two taking turns at each other whaling away with both hands. Jangirov was stunned by a right but was the sharper man throughout. It was scored 59-54 twice and 58-55 for the local hero and the fans cheered.
6x3: Salah Nazar Taha, 76,0, Swe  W6-S  Tijan Kebbeh, 75,8, Swe
"Eliminator" for the Swedish super middleweight title in a terrible fight where both could have been dq:d for holding, wrestling, hitting on break, hitting behind the head. Taha had a point deducted in the third when he threw Kebbeh to the canvas and the fight cleaned up a bit after that but it was a bad, bad fight. Scores were 58-55 and 57-56 Taha and 59-54 Kebbeh, which wasn't as off target as it may look.
4x3: Abdulnaser Delalic, 116,5, Eslöv, Swe W4-U Tamas Kantor, 102,8, Hun
Delalic is from Bosnia, but German citizen and now living in Sweden and with Armand Krajnc as coach. Kantor was down in the third in a fight where Delalic's better skills and conditioning won it for him - but he has a long way to go before stepping up in class.
4x3: Richard Pkhakadze, ?, Geo  TKO 2 (2.32)  Emil Stephansen, 107,0, Kungsbacka, Swe
Pkhakadze was a late sub for Otto Zolde. Stephansen made his prodebut for eight (8) amateur fights and some involvement in martial arts and bare knuckle boxing. He came out smokin' but was floored by a left hook, got up and made it through the round. In the second Emil seemed to get to his tiring opponent and threw big hooks and upercuts, all with power, and walked into a counter right hand and was floored again. He was hurt for real, got up after a long count and was asked to walk towards the referee but stumbled and it was correctly stopped.
