Harrison wins back licence to box

FORMER WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison has won back his boxing licence.

SportTimes can reveal that the British Boxing Board of Control have rubber-stamped their Scottish Area’s recommendation that the 34-year-old is allowed to resume his pro career after a six-year absence from the square ring.

Boxer Scott Harrison released from Spanish jail

Scottish Area supremo, Bernard Connolly, who fought Harrison’s case in Cardiff, welcomed the decision.

He said: “We are delighted for Scott that he has had his ability to box for a living restored to him. He passed every requirement that was stipulated and now hopefully he can concentrate on reclaiming his former glories.
