Martinez-Chavez & Canelo-Lopez
Post-Fight Recap

Las Vegas, September 17,2012 -The Theater of the Unexpected didn't disappoint fight fans Saturday night, as Sergio Martinez fought skillfully for 35 minutes before running into a trapdoor barrage from Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. The 37 year-old Argentine showed immense heart, to go with his superlative skill, and fight fans relived all the drama, and soaked up post-fight tidbits on TheSweetScience.com and BoxingChannel.TV.

As editor Michael Woods put it on TSS, "Martinez was like a merry assassin, dissecting the kid, without conscience, gleeful in his expert dismemberment...until the twelfth round, when he got caught, and nearly stopped."

Award-winning fightwriter David Avila had TSS covered at the other big show in Las Vegas, describing Canelo Alvarez' effort against undersized and gutsy challenger Josesito Lopez as "

a 45-caliber automatic against a Howitzer cannon."

Fight fans who couldn't get enough logged on to Boxing Channel, and heard what Martinez and Chavez Jr. and promoter Bob Arum had to say postfight about the often one-sided but in the end, utterly memorable fight, and hear from Al Bernstein and Steve Farhood on the Canelo-Lopez "Knockout Kings" card.
Once again, in print, and on the video side, TheSweetScience.com and BoxingChannel.TV covered the big fights before, during and after, proving to be the best one-two punch for boxing news on the Web.

This week we offer you interviews and commentaries on the announcement of Pacquiao-Marquez 4!!
