in the NetherlandsThe annual Ben Bril Memorial goes ahead at the Theatre Carré in Amsterdam October 15 and have for the last few years been the biggest boxing event in the Netherlands. Headlining is welter [Hassan Ait-Bassou], 12-4, taking on Georgian [David Makaradze] for the vacant WBU title.  In the chief support [Barry Groenteman], 7-5-1, square off against [Tarik Madni], 17-4, for the vacant Dutch jr welter title.
On the undercard lightweight [Innocent Anyanwu], 21-5-2, is in against tough journeyman [Rudy Encarnacion], 24-23-3 and reigning Spanish champ. Anyanwu was stopped in eight last year by Encarnacion and desperately needs a win to get his career back on track. By Per-Åke Persson
