WBC cruiser champ Krzystof "Diablo" Wlodarczyk´s (pictured) defence against ex champ [Jean Marc Mormeck] did - not very surprising - fall through when the self promoted Frenchman pulled out with an injury and now Wlodarczyk, 47-2-1, is looking for another challenge. A third fight against Italian [Giacobbe Fragomeni], 30-3-2, is on the horizon but Wlodarczyk is entitled to another voluntary defence. -We are looking for big fights, states Wlodarczyk´s promoter Andrew Wasilewski, we have for instance for the past two years have hade talks with Sauerland about a Super Six or a Super Four tournament but nothing has happend.

Polish heavyweight veteran [Przemyslaw Saleta], and 48-7 as a professional fighter, is in full training for his showdown against [Andrew Golota], 41-8-1, in Gdansk February 22. -It´s not a comeback, insists the 43-year old who had his last fight in 2006, it is however a farewell fight but I never retired. I´m always in training and had a K 1 fight last year and a MMA fight in the year before that. But let´s face it boxing is a young man´s sport and for me this is my final fight.

Saleta kept mixing kickboxing with boxing throughout his long career where he turned pro back in 91 as a cruiser. He won the EBU heavyweight title in 2002 by stopping German star [Luan Krasniqi] in a huge upset but lost the title to [Sinan Samil Sam] and was then stopped in one by Krasniqi in a rematch.

Saleta and Golota know each other well having sparred together on a few occasions and have been scheduled to fight twice before but it fell through when Golota pulled out due to injuries. -It will be fun, says Saleta, the money counts too but I do it mainly for the fun of it and I am convinced I can win.

Italian [Emanuele Della Rosa], 31-1, WBC # 4 and WBC Int´l ruler has been appointed official challenger for EBU jr middle champ [Sergey Rabchenko], 22-0, WBC # 3. -This should be an exellent contest, says Rabchenko´s manager Philippe Fondu, and hopefully the winner can aim at the WBC world title.

Rabchenko is promoted by Hatton Promotions while Della Rosa is with OPI 2000.

EU middleweight champ Roberto "El Tigre de Benidorm" Santos, 17-7-3-1, will again defend the title against Austrian [Marcos Nader], 16-0-1. The two drew last time out even though most felt Nader had nicked it but Santos´ strong finish saved the title for him.

This will be Santos´ fourth fight in a row against a Sauerland fighter and this far he´s 1-0-2.

Sauerland will stage Santos-Nader II in Austria on a date to be announced.

Danish veteran [Lolenga Mock] is again in Germany and is sparring with former WBA super middleweight champ [Felix Sturm], who is in training for his eliminator against [Sam Soliman] February 1 in Duesseldorf.

Mock has been a steady fixture in the Sturm camps for the last few years but what´s new is that Lolenga also will get a fight on the undercard. Lolenga was last seen in the ring in 2011 when he lost a ten round decision to [Dawid Kostecki] in Poland.
