Spanish Rimer Boxe won today´s purse bids in Rome for EBU superwelter champ Sergey Rabchenko´s mandatory defence against Ruben Varon with a bid for 90,000 Euro.
Hatton Promotions finished second with a bid for 89,666,00 Euro.
Date and site is to be announced.
Rabchenko, 23-0, is managed by Philippe Fondu, trained by Richie Hatton and promoted by Hatton Promotions. Varon is 41-6 and have been a pro for 13 years now and must be a regarded as a heavy underdog in this one.

Swedish lightheavy Erik Skoglund, 17-0, is the new mandatory challenger for the vacant EU title after Frenchman Hakim Chioui pulled out. Co-challenger is former WBO cruiser king Enzo Maccarinelli, 36-6.
The EBU have set July 11 as date for purse bids and deadline for agreements.
Both Sauerland Promotions and Frank Warren Promotions have confirmed interest in the fight that is an interesting matchup between an up and coming fighter against an aging veteran.

Frenchman Jeremy Ouanna, 14-7, was yesterday appointed official challenger for the EU cruiser title held by Italian Mirko Larghetti. Today Ouanna was appointed official challenger for EBU title held by Mateusz Masternak, 30-0. Ouanna, reigning national champ, don´t have an overly impressive record but five his seven losses came in his first year as a pro. The EBU have set July 18 as date for purse bids. As for Larghetti, well, he will have to face someone else.
