Alexander Petkovic, once a teenage prospect with Universum, is back as a self-promoted heavyweight. Still only 33 Petkovic looked downright shot when his career with Universum ended in 2006 at the hands of Frenchman Kamel Amrane. Petkovic have since opened a gym in Munich and returned as a heavyweight with some success even if it must be said it´s been against soft opponents. On November 1 in Dachau Petkovic headlines his own show billed as "Petko´s Fight Gala" and take on Tanzanian Chupaki Chipindi. In November of 2003 Petkovic came very close to upsetting then WBO cruiser king Johnny Nelson but lost a majority decision.
