Former EBU heavyweight champion and WBO title challenger Luan Krasniqi, 30-4-1, returns to action Saturday night (Nov 16) in at the MHP Arena in Ludwigsburg in a scheduled eight rounder against Uwe Hueck, a two time European Thai boxing champ.

 

This was supposed to have been an exhibition headlining a big charity show but Hueck insisted it would be for real and now it is a fully sanctioned professional boxing match. This is Krasniqi's first fight since 2008.

 

Also on the bill is heavyweight Erkan Teper, 11-0, who take on Brit Martin Rogan, 16-4, over ten and at welter Timo Schwarzkopf, 12-0, is in against once world class veteran Junior Witter, 41-6-2.

 

The show is promoted by Bernd Michaelis and is sanctioned by the BDB.

 

 

The Sami Anouche vs Mariano Hilario fight for the vacant EU supermiddle title that was scheduled for December 13 in Joinville (France) is now postponed. The new date is likely to be January 2014.

 

 

Carl Frampton have - not surprisingly - relinquished the EBU superbantam title to concentrate on a World title shot. Official challenger Kid Galahad will fight for the vacant title against the highest available challenger in the ratings.

 

 

Orlando Fiordigiglio’s defence of the EU superwelter title against Daniele Moruzzi that was set for December 13 in Rezzato is cancelled. No reason is given for cancellation.
