ERISLANDY LARA DROPS AUSTIN TROUT EN ROUTE TO UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY

Moments ago, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, jr. middleweight contender Erislandy Lara scored a unanimous decision victory over fellow contender Austin Trout. It was an uneventful affair for the majority of the fight as Lara simply used his superior technical skills to outbox Trout. The crowd was awakened in the 11th, however, when Lara landed a devastating left hand that sent Trout crashing to the canvas. Relive all the action in FightHype's round-by-round results.

ROUND 1
Both fighter come out jabbing. Lara gets in a left. They trade jabs. Both guys landing jabs to each others arms. Trout gets in a right upstairs. Trout jabs to the body. They trade jabs. Jab lands for Lara. They trade jabs again. Right hook gets in for Lara. Not much to choose from in that round, but I give it to Lara just for landing probably the best punch of the round.

Jab lands for Lara. Nice left hand upstairs lands for Lara. Trout fires a left that's partially blocked. Another left gets in for Lara. Trout just can't find his distance as Lara dances around him. Left lands for Lara and he dances away. Trout digs a right to the body. Right and a left uppercut lands for Lara. Round to Lara.

Trout gets in a right. Body shot lands for Trout. Nice counter let uppercut lands for Lara. Trout digs to the body. Lara lands another left uppercut. Solid left hand lands for Lara that has Trout doing a quick two-step. Round to Lara.
