SKOGLUND vs RODRIGUEZ, EU TITLE DEFENCE

January 18 in DenmarkBy Per-Ake Persson EBU-EU lightheavy champ Erik Skoglund, 18-0, will defend the title January 18 in Frederikshavn (Denmark) against Spanish ruler Adasat Rodriguez, 9-2-1. It’s a voluntary defence by the Swede and it´s the co-headliner of this Sauerland promotion. Cecilia Braekhus defends the WBA, WBC and IBF welter titles against Miriam Lamare in the other headliner.
Rodriguez, promoted by Rimer Boxe, comes with a reputation of a puncher and is known for being strong and aggressive but is relatively untried at higher level and not at Skoglund’s level boxingwise.
