Rimer Boxe of Madrid, Spain, won the purse bids today in Rome for EBU superlightweight champ Michele Di Rocco’s defence against Ruben Nieto. Rimer bid 55 113 Euro while OPI 2000, Di Rocco´s promoter, bid 53 717 Euro.

 

Date and site is to be announced but the rules call for date inside 60 days of the purse bids. Di Rocco (37-1-1) won the title last year and this is his second defence. Nieto (15-0) have previously held the EU and Spanish titles.

 

 

German fighter and promoter Ismail Oezen stage a charity show May 28 at the Altona Church in Hamburg. The show is billed "Kampf Deines Leben" and Oezen headlines himself and take on Vaclav Polak. Predrag Radosevic take on Andy Thiele and Abel Gevor, stepson of Khoren Gevor, is in against Josef Obeslo.

 

 

The purse bids today in Rome for the vacant EU cruiser title between Maurizio Lovaglio and Mirko Larghetti were cancelled as the parties reached an agreement. Boxe Loreni, headed by Mario Loreni, will stage the fight with date and site to be announced. Larghetti previously held the title but relinquished it to take on WBO king Marco Huck but that fight fell through when Huck was injured.
