The biggest boxing event in the last few years in Dutch boxing is the annual Ben Bril Memorial at the Theatre Carré in Amsterdam.
 
This year’s edition is headlined by once beaten (a stoppage loss to James De Gale) Gevorg Khatchikian (20-1) taking on Austrian Gogi Knezevic (26-5-1) for the vacant WBFed middleweight title.
 
Khatchikian (pictured) have previously campaigned as a supermiddle while Knezevic was last seen getting knocked out by Nick Klappert in a fight made at superwelter.

Polish welterweight veteran Rafal Jackiewicz (45-11-2) says farewell to boxing on Saturday in Miedzyzdroje. Jackiewicz have a pretty good career behind him, he fought for the IBF title and held the EBU crown after a slow start where he at one time was only 7-4. However, the 37-year isn´t retiring - he is to enter a career in MMA. boxingscene´s Luke Furman says Jackiewicz began his career in kickboxing and is now working on the other techniques used in MMA. Rafal takes on Krzysztof Szot (18-14-1) in what his his last professional boxing match.

EU bantamweight champion Omar Lamiri will defend the title October 31 in Henin Beumont (France) against Hassan Azaouagh.

IBF # 1 and mandatory challenger for Bernard Hopkins, Frenchman Nadjib Mohammedi (35-3) will keep busy with a ten rounder on the undercard to Hopkins vs Kovalev, says manager Christel Aujoux and then fight the winner.
 
Mohammedi stopped Anatolij Dudchenko in seven in a final IBF eliminator in June and is on a eleven bout winning streak winning the WBFed, WBA Continental and French titles in the process.
