Haapoja was caught and floored in the second and it was stopped. The referee took a very long time - 11 seconds or so - to get Demchenko to a neutral corner, then picked up the count at two and when he reached "8" Haapoja had recovered and was ready to go - but then the referee stopped it. Hometown officiating or incompetence? Well, how about both?

h: Alexander Petkovic, Ger WTD 10 Raymond Ochieng, Ken
Petkovic won the vacant WBA I/C title when the fight was stopped after an accidental headclash left him unable to continue and it went to the scorcards. Ochieng had two points deducted, first for pushing, then for low blows, Petkovic was all in all down three times, Ochieng floored once and was saved by the bell. Lots of holding, wrestling and mauling. Petkovic seems to think a win here would get him a fight vs Chagaev and who knows, he may be right.
