60-53x2, 60-52. Madraszewska was down in the 5th.
6x3, w: Demian Gonzalez, Arg/Spa KO 5 Fernando Ermes Dimitra, Ita
Jan 31, Kolding, DEN, Sydbank Arena, Primetime Promotions / Goldstar
Big dinner / boxing event with the whole floor in the arena covered with tables with eating and drinking guests.
12x3: Jacob Bank, 76,0, Den TKO 12 (2.37) William Scull, 76,0, Cuba
Bank retained the WBO Global title with a one-sided stoppage of William Scull, who was floored twice in the seventh and once in the 12th and showed nothing in between. Bank used his speed, strength and talent to do a number against the Cuban, who tried at times to counter but for most part of the fight he was passive against the ropes. The question on how good Jacob Bank is remains open. William Scull? A very good fighter - once. He looked totally shot in this fight.
10x2: Dina Thorslund, 56,8, Den W10-U Almudena Alvarez, 56,7, Spa
Thorslund failed to impress but won the vacant WBC Interim title on scores of 99-91 and 100-90 twice. Alvarez was a sub for Lina Furtado. Dina looked rusty and hesitant in some rounds while Alvarez, taller, plugged away and appeared to win a few rounds on my card.
8x3: Oliver Zaren, 77,9, Den KO 2 (0.40) David Benitez, 78,4, Arg
Benitez was a sub for Mikalai Vesialou, who, surprise, surprise, could not get a visa to leave Belarus. The fight ended when Benitez claimed he had been hit in the back of the head and collapsed to the canvas. The doctor tended to him but it was barely he could get to his feet and was unable to continue in what looked like a very poor piece of acting.
8x3: Pasquale Barile, 61,3, Ita W8-U Mahib Katib, 61,2, Den
79-73x2 and 80-71. Barile, quicker and much better, handed out a one sided beating against Katib, who was staggered several times but never quit trying, showing a good chin and fighting spirit.
8x3: Carlos Castillo, 126,9, Cuba/Ger KO 2 (1.35) Gianmarco Cardillo, 111,2, Ita
Cardillo was out of shape while Castillo, a southpaw, wasn't. The Italian was floored in the first and again in the second and sat the count out.
8x2: Melissa Mortensen, 56,0, Den W8-U Tori-Ellis Willetts, 56,3, Uk
79-73, 79-72 twice. Willetts was floored by a left hook in the fourth but gave Mortensen a good fight.
8x3: Costas Nanga, 79,3, Swe TKO 6 (2.27) Vladimir Belujski, 78,5, Slo
Belujski was a sub for Issam Faiz who was a sub for Alpay Yaman and was in it to survive and almost did as Nanga was content to pose and doing as little as possible. The referee had to tell them twice to get going and then the Swede finally went to work. Belujski was floored in the 5th from nothing much and twice more in the sixth before it was stopped. If Nanga expects to make it in Denmark fighting like this he is in for a short and troubled career.

Jan 17, Flensburg, GER, GP Joule Arena, PWR Promotion (Freddy Kiwitt & Co) / Claussen Events UG & COKG, bdb
12x3: Freddy Kiwitt, 69,9, Ger W12-U Suleiman Jafaru, 69,9, Nig
Kiwitt retained the WBF title and won the vacant WBO Global title on scores of 118-110, 117-111 and 117-110. The local man jabbed well and landed with decent left hooks to the head and body of his opponent - but he could never hurt him. Jafaru kept his hands high and worked in short bursts of punches and got the champion under some pressure in some rounds. Kiwitt is a slick boxer who moves his head well but he got careless at times.
10x3: Viktor Faust, 104,0, Ukr "KO 1" Todorche Cvetkov, 120,2, Mac
Faust won the vacant WBO Euro title in a fight put together on maybe ten days' notice. Faust stepped in with his jab, Cvetkov was against the ropes and after a partly blocked 1-2 combination the Macedonian sank to the canvas and didn't / couldn't continue. I was told he earned 20 000 Euro for this fight but some might be withheld after this performance.
10x3: Daryan Yaser, 6,8, Ger TKO 6 (2.10) Menal Meno Topcu, 66,6, Ger
Yaser won the vacant WBF Euro title in the fight of the night. Topcu was floored in the third and twice in the sixth before the towel came in. Yaser looked bigger and was too strong but Topcu did alright in the early rounds but faded visibly in the fifth.
8x3: Alexander Chupil, 76,6, Ger TKO 2 (not out) Ajeme Amani, Jr, 77,0, Tan
Amani was down twice in the first but from what I couldn't say and was then retired (or retired).
4x3: Christian Patzke, 76,5, Ger D4-U Dean Porter, 75,0, Uk/?
The much shorter Englishman beat Patzke to the punch in the first two but faded in the last two. It was scored 38-38 on all cards (including mine).
8x3: Robert Toman, 72,5, Cze TKO 3 (not out) Gregorio Dominguez, 73,0,Ven
Toman impressed - but Dominguez looked shot and took a beating in the second, went down and was then retired and didn't come out for the third.
4x3: Ekin Erol, 72,5, Ger KO 1 (1.02) Hayden Sheriff, 72,5, Uk
Sheriff went down from a left hook to the head and then after a left hook to the body. He showed punch resistance at all.
6x3: Can Goek, 76,0, Ger W6-U Robin Zamora, 76,0, Nic/Spa
59-54, 58-56 and 59-55 in an all southpaw battle that was dominated by Goek, his jab and movement.

Jan 10, Oberhausen, GER, Rudolf Weber Halle, est 12 000, Queensberry / Goldstar / Top Rank
12x3: Agit Kabayel, 109,3, Ger TKO 3 (2.36) Damian Knyba, 117,0, Pol/US
Kabayel retained the WBC Interim title by stopping Knyba, who was bigger and stronger, and landed a good right uppercut in the first and cut the champion by the left eye. In the second Kabayel blocked the uppercut and landed a left hook to the body and at the end of the round it was obvious that the fight was his. In the third Kabayel hurt Knyba and it was stopped with the challenger more or less defenceless against the ropes. Many thought it was stopped too soon but not this reporter.
10x3: Petar Milas, 108,7, Cro TKO 10 (1.29) Granit Shala, 115,9, Ger
Milas won the IBF Int'l title by stopping Granit Shala in the final round. The fight was even and tough with both having their moments. Milas was stronger but Shala had the speed and landed with good counters - and was ahead on points after nine with the judges and that probably played a part in how it ended. Milas went all out and got Shala in trouble and then knocked him down with a right. Referee Timo Habighorst then gave Shala every chance to recover but Milas poured it on and Shala took a beating so bad that Milas asked the referee to stop it - but he didn't and Milas knocked out Shala with a one-two combination - and it wasn't stopped and Shala tried to get up with his cornermen entering the ring. Referee was German Timi Habighorst, who usually does a good job but it went all wrong in this one.
12x3: Jadier Herrera, 60,94, Cuba/UAE TKO 8 Ricardo Nunez, 60,97, Pan
Herrrera, who suffered a flash knockdown in the first, won the vacant WBC Interim title in a tough fight. Nunez was very good but Herrera gradually got the better of the exchanges and hurt Nunez with a southpaw right hook, followed up with a left hook and Nunez was defenceless against the ropes. Referee Daniel Van De Wiele moved in to stop it but tripped and fell - but the fighters sensed what had happened and stopped punching. When the ref got up it was officially waved over. It was scored 66-66 on all cards after seven. I had Herrera up at 67-65.
6x3: Nelvie Tiafack, 116,6, Ger TKO 2 (1.50) Piotr Cwik, 125,6, Pol/Ger
Tiafack looked good and Cwik, badly overmatched, was outclassed and finally hurt to the head and body. He was down prior to being stopped.
6x3: Daniel Dietz, 125,4, Ger D 6 Seun Salami, 116,4, Aus
Tough fight where both gave what they had. Salami boxed well in the first part of the fight but faded in the final two rounds. Dietz worked very hard but was seldom effective. I had Salami winning 58-56.
10x3: Gleb Bakshi, 71,66, Ser KO 1 Juan Jose Rodriguez Duran, 72,12, Mex
Bakshi retained the WBA I-C title in style by knocking out Duran with an overhand right followed by a left hook. Duran had looked good up until then.
8x3: Kevin Saszik, 104,4, Ger KO 1 Brian Zwart, ?, Nth
Robin Och, 127,4, kg, was a late sub for Patrick Schäfer and was first supposed to have fought David Adeleye, who pulled out for some reason - and was then apparently replaced by Dutchman Brian Zwart. A right hand ended matters.
8x3: Oronzo Birardi, 89,86, Ger KO 4 (0.59) Miloslav Savic, 90,26, Ser
Savic took a knee after being hit by a right hand - and sat the count out.
6x3: Roman Fury, 103,8, Uk TKO 3 (2.40) Kevin Greenwood, 92,4, Uk
Greenwood was a late sub for Toni Thess and was outboxed all the way by his slick overweight opponent until it was stopped as it was very one sided.
6x3: Nelson Birchall, 63,41, Uk TKO 6 (not out) Wilbert Pantin, 65,38, Nic/Spa
Pantin soaked up a steady beating and was finally retired with a swollen face and a busted nose. This fight could have been stopped a lot sooner. Pantin was brave but badly outclassed.
