Hadribeaj won the WBC Silver title and a final eliminator with a controversial decision over Samake. It was scored 115-113 twice and 116-112. After four it was scored 39-37x2, and 38-38, after eight it was scored 77-75 twice and 76-76. Hadribeaj was the faster and grabbed an early lead but when Samake came on with his harder punches and higher workrate Hadribeaj held and wrestled - and the referee allowed him to do so. Still, Samake should have won the majority of those rounds on the scorecards- but he didn't. Hadribeaj was cut by the right eye in the fourth and it got worse during the fight and was also cut on the left cheek.

If BoxRec can be trusted Ramos turned pro as a flyweight in 2024 - either way, he looked soft and late in the first Hasso turned it on and Ramos went down and out from a left hook to the body. Hasso won the vacant WBC International title.

Vela won the vacant WBC International title on scores of 80-71, 79-72 and 80-71. Kebdani was down in the seventh but it was more of a push than a knockdown.

Aliev retained the WBC Int'l Silver title on scores of 78-73, 78-72 and 78-71. Both had a point deducted in the final round for holding & wrestling in a rather terrible fight. Aliev just can't get it together despite some talent.

A bad fight and a bad night for boxing as Usyk, old and / or out of shape, struggles with a kickboxer who is allowed to come forward like a bull with gloves on - and the referee just looks on. Verhoeven finally went down (it is very hard to see punches coming your way if you have your eyes on the canvas) he lost his mouthpiece and of course it had to be replaced. Usyk followed up, the bell rang - and the fight was stopped. Bad timing ending a bad fight.

Jones was fast and powerful and Gualtieri had no chance in this IBF Eliminator and was floored twice in the third.

Safar, floored in the second, won the vacant WBC Silver title on a split decision: 116-111 and 114-113 while the third judge, no other than "Mighty" Melissa McMorrow, had it 115-112 Peralta - she seemed to get it right in a boxing match where Safar attacked while Peralta boxed on the move. It was close, many rounds were difficult to score but I felt Peralta won by a close margin. Safar is looking more and more like Badou Jack, competent but nothing special.
