60-54x3. Pesek got the call late Tuesday evening after the promoters had learned that Liam Smith had been injured in training and wouldn't be able to fight on Friday. The young Czech knew enough to make it a frustrating fight for Kujala, who didn't look good in a messy fight.

Aliu was too heavy so the BBU title was only at stake for Iversen, who took some punishment, was cornered and Aliun opened up and Iversen was cut and on his way to get hurt when the referee stepped in just in time.

58-56, 59-55, 60-54. Hagen worked hard and was a clear winner - and was also booked to fight in Arendal the day after.

Embualev, who fights like his coach, former EBU champ Amin Asikainen, made a slow start and was floored by a left hook, got up and got going and was outboxing his opponent but faded at the end in a difficult to score fight. The judges had 78-73 and 76-74 for the Finn and 77-75 for the American.

How Begem got to WBA 5 by losing her last fight is an open question But it appears that money talks and Sandstrom walks. She held and ran from Maribel Ramirez and got the win, she was overrun by Katherine Lindenmuth and got a draw - and now she is a "world champ".
