2 July 2011, Lemgo, Germany Renata Szebeledi, 20 years-old from Hungary, captured the vacant World Boxing Federation crown – female version – outpointing Pia Mazelanik, 23 years-ol from Germany, by unanimous decision over 10 rounds on scores of 97-92 (Tamas Sasvani), 96-94 (Dominique Schmit) and 95-94 (Arnold Golger). Szebeledi improved to 12-8-0 (6) while Mazelanik dipped to 12-4-1. 1 July 2011, Fojnica, Bosnia and Herzegovina Julien Perriaux, 30 year-old from France, won the vacant WBC Mediterranean cruiserweight title knocking out local Adnan Buharalija, 30 year-old, at 2:40 of the 7th. Perriaux, former national challenger, raised his log to 14-8-0 (7), while Buharalija is now 24-9-2 (16). On the undercard returned to action, after a year break, superwelterweight Vuk Mitic, 26 years-old from Serbia, posting a 4-round unanimous decision over Romanian loser Stalian Voica, 0-4-0. Mitici s now 11-1-0-1 NC (6). 1 July 2011, Arezzo, Italy Italian superwelterweight champion Adriano Nicchi, 30 year-old, retained his belt on a 6th-round retirement of Salvatore Annunziata, 28 years-old. Local Nicchi connected with ring uppercut and left hook to floor southpaw challenger in the 2nd round. Annunziata, 14-5-3 (3), roared back but Nicchi rallied to close the show in the 6th round. Then the challenger remained on his stool giving up the fight. The fall occurrend in the 2nd round had compromised the optimal use of the right leg at the knee for an alleged bias. After his first defence of Italian title Nicchi raised his mark to 15-3-2 (7). Undercard: Supermiddleweights, Alessandro Murgia, 3-0-0 (1), W DQ 5 Valerica Adochitei, 1-1-0 Lightweights, Vincenzo Finiello, 4-0-0 (1), W PTS 6 Andrea Scarpa, 1-2-0 (1) 30 June 2011, Nice, France Frenchman Denis Saioni, 36 years-old, built up an early lead before unanimously outpointing Vitor Sa, 38 year old from Portugal, on scores of two 97-93 (Toni Tiberi and Stephane Nicolo) and 96-94 (Noel Monnet) over 10-round. Saioni, 35-5-0 (14), captured the vacant World Boxing Federation Intercontinental 160-lbs. Underpowered Sa is now 24-6-0 (4). The new French bantamweight champion Yoan Boyeaux, 9-3-0 (3), pleased his locas fans by outpointing Georgian Levan Garibashvili, 7-8-1 (3), after six rounds. |
