April 23, Barcelona, SPA, Palau Olimpic Vall D´Hebron, Matchroom / Opi since 82 / MGZ / DAZN Sandor Martin, 63,4, Spa W12-U Kay Prosper, 63,3, Uk Martin retained the EBU title on scores of 119-107, 117-109 and 117-110 after a workmanlike performance. Prosper kept switchitting but walked into counters and was stunned a few times in what at times was an all southpaw battle. Prosper had all in all three points deducted which two too many but he was careless in his actions. Andoni Gago, 56,6, Spa Tdr5-U Gavin McDonell, 56,6, Uk Gago retained the EBU title on scores 38-38 twice and an out of line 40-36 for McDonnell. The Englishman boxed well behind the jab but once Gago upped the pace he found the target for his left hook. There was an accidental clash of heads in the first that no one but the referee saw and McDonell was cut by the right eye. The cut worsened and when the 5th began it was stopped by the doctor. TV replays showed that the ref was right in his judgement. 8x3: Bernard Torres, 57,8, Nor KO 2 (1.33) Anuar Salas, 57,3, Col Torres, a southpaw, floored Salas in the first and knocked him out in the second with right-left combinations. Lejarraga came back though and hurt Smith in the 6th with a left hook to the body. Smith never recovered and was under pressure when it was stopped - a bit premature it seemed but Smith was a spent force. Luike Willis, 63,5, Uk W6-U Ricardo Fernandez, 63,1, Spa 60-54 twice and 59-54. 4x2: April Hunter, 66,2, Uk W4-M Elsa Hemat, 65,0. Fra 39-37 twice and 38-38.
