Euro NewsBy Per-Ake Persson Injuryprone Russian heavy Dennis Boytsov, 33-0, makes his debut for Sauerland Event November 23 in Bamberg (Germany) when he takes on Australian Alex Leapai, 29-4-3. Boytsov (pictured turned pro with Universum back in 2004 and quickly built a glossy knockout record but have in recent years been relatively inactive thanks to contractual problems and a series of hand and back injuires. ******************** Spanish lightweight champ Emiliano Casal outscored Ryan Peleguer over eight this past weekend. Casal weighed in at about 69 kilos but manager Ulf Johansen insists Casal can still make lightweight. -We accepted the fight on two days notice, says Johansen. ******************** Flyweights Andrea Sarritzu and Valery Yanchy, who fought a disputed, split 12-round draw this past weekend with the vacant EBU title at stake will do it again. The EBU have set December 18 at noon as deadline for pursebids. ******************** Supermiddle Blas Miguel Martinez, who splits between Spain and Switzerland, will take on Bujar Sejdiu in Frenkendorf (Switzerland) November 2 in a six-rounder that is described as a tuneup before getting another crack at the Spanish title. ******************** EU cruiser champ Mirko Larghetti will make a voluntary defence of the title November 22 in Frontino (Italy). Larghetti will take on Croatian Stjepan Vugdelija, who is not yet in the EU ratings. ******************** German lightheavy Robert Woge lost more than the IBF I/C title when he finished second best against Anatoliy Dudchenko Saturday night in Oldenburg. He also lost the position as mandatory challenger for the at the moment vacant EBU title. Frenchman Nadjib Mohammedi, co-challenger along with Woge, will now face Orial Kolaj and the EBU have set December 2 at noon as deadline for purse bids. ******************** SES` "getgoods.de Fight Night" that was first set for October 26, then moved to October 25 before getting postponed after some main event fighters were injured is now set for December 7 with site remaining the Brandenburg Hall in Frankfurt an der Oder December 6. Headlining is heavyweight Francesco Pianeta and in the co-features female champs Ramona Kuehne and Christina Hammer will defend their respective titles. ******************** Mikkel Kessler is seriously contemplating retirement, writes media in Denmark. It´s been five months since loss to Carl Froch in London and since then Kessler´s father Ole has passed away and longtime fiancee Lea Hvidt is pregnant with the couple´s first child and the Viking Warrior have often stated he don´t want to continue boxing if he becomes a father. There will be talks with promoter Kalle Sauerland in November and then a final decision is expected. Kessler´s fight against Froch was a another cracker and although Mikkel lost he showed that boxingwise he has a lot more to give. ******************** Las Vegas-based Swedish supermiddle Badou Jack, 15-0-1, and in the top 15 with both the WBC, WBA and IBF, returns to action December 6 but when and against who isn´t announced yet.

De Carolis was out of his depth and knew it and he was happy with surviving while Abraham again fought with no fire. In the last De Carolis threw some punches and Abraham smiled, held on and finally showed some fire. Off this showing Abraham should think of another line of job Jack Culcay, 69,7, Ger W12-U Guido Nicolas Pitto, 69,4, Arg Culcay regained the WBA I/C title on scores of 115-113 twice and 117-112 after twelve fastpaced, interesting rounds of boxing. Jack blew it the first time around by not working hard enough but this time he worked hard all the way. Neither man is a puncher but have dangerous hooks and both had their moments but Culcay won it on workrate. Marcos Nader, 72,2, Aus TKO 7 (not out) Luis Crespo, 71,6, Spa Crespo, a loser in every round, retired with an injured left arm (or shoulder). Nader was sharp and winning all the way to retain the EU title- Anatoliy Dudchenko, 79,0, Ukr/US W12-U Robert Woge, 79,0, Ger Dudchenko won the IBF I/C title on scores of 117-111, 117-110 and 115-112 after a good, sometimes brutally tough fight where Woge as always was right in his opponent´s face but fought a tricky, fit, hardpunching opponent and was just too primitive in his style. Woge was floored in the seventh and was out on his feet but saved by the bell. There was then an ugly swelling inside the right ear to go with a cut right eye. Woge kept coming though and had Dudchenko under some pressure but the Ukraine was too slick for him. Woge was hurt in the final two with the swelling bursting open early (or did the cornermen cut it open?) in the final round. Tyron Zeuge, 76,2, Ger W 8 (80-71) Achilles Szabo, 75,5, Hun Szabo was down in the final round but was generally content to cover up while Zeuge appeared to happy with getting the rounds in and it made for a dull fight. 8x3: Enrico Kölling, 81,0, Ger KO 3 (1.50) Györgi Marosi, 78,7, Hun Kölling kept a high workrate and the weakchinned Marosi went down after a right-left and sat the count out shaking his head. 4x3: Otto Wallin, 98,5, Swe TKO 3 (2.54) Gabor Farkas, 114,7, Hun Wallin, a southpaw, for this fight trained by Joey Gamache, opened carefully but soon found the range for his left. Farkas was under heavy pressure, his left eye swollen shut and finally caved in and was floored twice before it was called off. This was the show opener.
