EURO NEWSBy Per-Ake Persson Hungarian supermiddle Balasz Kelemen (21-0) fights on the undercard to Robert Stieglitz vs Sergey Khomitsky July 26 in Dessau (Germany). Kelemen will go for the WBO Int’l title against an opponent to be announced. It was rumored that the 35-year old would have been next challenger for then WBO champ Stieglitz had he beaten Arthur Abraham in their third fight. Balasz is ranked # 8 by the WBO. ********************************* Cruiser veteran Firat Arslan have obtained the services of renowned trainer Fritz Sdunek for his upcoming fight against IBF king Yoan Pablo Hernandez August 16 in Erfurt (Germany). Dieter Wittmann, who normally trains, Arslan will remain in his position. The former WBA champ is now 43-year old and it looks pretty doubtful that Sdunek or anyone else can revive the aging fighter. ********************************* Former WBO middleweight champ Harry Simon returns to action August 9 in Malvisbay (Namibia) and will again take on tough Serbian Geard Ajetovic, whom he beat last year on a close decision. It was so close that Ajetovic claimed robbery and here is the rematch. Simon is 29-0 but have pretty much blown his career due to problems outside of the ring.
