Unbeaten “The Dog” Dirrell, 23-0-0 (20 KOs), dropped Engel, 18-5-0 (15 KOs), twice in round two. Engel was counted out at 1:44. Engel may have had a case but still lost to Flint boxer Anthony Dirrell in a live bout broadcasted on ESPN 2’s “Friday Night Fights” late Friday. The altercation took place at the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa. Dirrell (23-0, 20 KO’s) stopped Engel at the 1:44 mark with a body blow.
