I'll show no fear! Chisora vows to topple Klitschko and end brothers' dynasty
By Martin Domin
Dereck Chisora believes he is the one to end the Klitschko brothers’ heavyweight reign – because he will show no fear against Vitali in Munich.
The Brit faces the biggest challenge of his career when he fights for the WBC title next month.
But ‘Del Boy’ insists he will complete the job within eight rounds on February 18.
Raring to go: Derek Chisora is confident he can dethrone Vitali Klitschko
‘The rest of his opponents have been scared of him,’ Chisora told Sportsmail.
‘You can see it when they come in the ring, they don’t have the charisma and they’re not bouncing up and down. They’re not excited that they’re boxing for the world title, they’re panicking.
'People are saying that Klitschko is the hardest fight of my career, but this is going to be the hardest fight of his career.
'I'm going to war with him, he won't get to use that big height and reach against me with the way I'm going to fight him and I've got the eighth round in my head that I'm going to stop him in.'
Klitschcko will take to the ring with 40 knockouts to his name from 43 fights and has not lost since he faced Lennox Lewis in 2003.
Robbed? Chisora was unlucky to lose to Finland's Robert Helenius
Chisora on the other hand has lost two of his last three bouts, to Tyson Fury and Robert Helenius.
His latest defeat to the Finnish European champion was embroiled in controversy with many believing the Brit was robbed of victory.
But Chisora has no fears about getting on the road again.
‘It depends how you lose the fights,’ he said. ‘When you lose badly, when you get knocked out and the ref has to stop it, that’s when you know it’s been a bad fight.
‘But when you lose a fight having over the 12 rounds and you don’t look like you’ve done any rounds, that’s when you know it’s quite good.
‘I like to go to peoples backyards. I’m a better fight on the road than at home. I’m not worried about that.’
Up against it: Chisora (left) will be the underdog against the WBC king
Trainer Don Charles added, ‘This is the best shape he's been in since we started working together seven years ago.
‘He's physically and mentally right for the fight and is going out there to beat Klitschko and become the world champion.
‘15,000 fans didn't faze him in Finland against Robert Helenius and even though he was robbed of the title, his confidence is sky high and he knows what he can achieve.
‘The height won't be an advantage to Klitschko if he can't use it and Dereck is not going to let him use it just like he did against Helenius.
‘Dereck is going to give Klitschko an absolute nightmare.’
