Kessler took some time before finding the range but then floored Bouadla in the third with a left-overhand right. Bouadla was hurt and spat out the mouthpiece as he got up and had a point deducted. Medhi walked into a right in the fourth and was floored again. In the fifth Kessler, hit way too much for his own good, was hurt by a right to the head and he held on with some help from ref Manuel Maritxlar. Bouadla went all out and was in trouble at the end of the round. In the sixth the spent Frenchman was worn down by bodyshots and was down twice before it was stopped bleeding heavily from the nose. It was a non title fight officiated by the WBO and was by some billed as an eliminator.
